美佳欣防火纳米绵是一种以安全的三聚氰胺树脂为原料经高温发泡制成，其稳定的化学结构和三维网状交联体系使其具有独特的化学和物理稳定性，在弱酸和弱碱环境下不会老化、分解，无残存游离甲醛。在不添加任何阻燃剂的情况下，阻燃性能就可以达到德国DIN 4102所规定的B1级和美国UL94-V0级标准，是一般防火材料无法比拟的。而一般的泡沫塑料，如聚烯烃、聚苯乙烯、聚氨酯等，因其自身易燃，为了能符合相关的阻燃法规和标准，需加入阻燃剂，而其中很多阻燃剂在高温下会遇热分解，并放出对人体有害甚致人死亡的有毒气体，在火灾发生的情况下引发二次灾害和环境污染。
防火纳米绵遇明火时表层微燃，且形成结 焦，离火自熄；在表层微燃时，放出氮气和二氧化碳，具有灭火性，不产生毒烟（烟密度<15）、不流滴，因而可大大降低火灾事故的发生率，是非常好的新型防火材料。
